How chartering with Kinship works.
Three conversations stand between an enquiry and wheels-up. Each one ends with something concrete.
Request
Start with the quotation tool on our homepage, or call the office. Give us the route, the dates and the size of your party. The tool returns an immediate market estimate across every aircraft category suited to the sector.
Proposal
We come back with a firm proposal: a named aircraft type, its licensed operator and a firm price. Quotations begin as market estimates; each figure is confirmed with the operator before you commit to anything.
Fly
Once you confirm, our team manages the operation end to end. Landing and overflight permits, ground handling, crew logistics and catering are arranged before you reach the airport. You are met at the aircraft.

Hourly bands are indicative market rates, not fixed tariffs. A full quotation adds positioning, handling and permits, and is confirmed with the operator before booking. Chartered aircraft carry daily minimums, typically two flight hours for turboprops and light jets and 2.5 to 3 for larger cabins.
Home ground
East Africa, properly.
Wilson Airport is East Africa's charter hub, and it is where Kinship is based. The safari strips of Kenya and Tanzania are turboprop work: the Cessna Grand Caravan, the Pilatus PC-12 and the King Air 350 fly them from Wilson daily. Jet departures from Nairobi use Jomo Kenyatta International, a short drive away; we position clients between the two as required.
Flying across African flight information regions takes paperwork that many brokers handle rarely. We handle it as a matter of course. Landing and overflight permits typically clear within 24 to 72 hours; the handful of states that need three to seven business days are flagged at quotation, so the schedule holds.

How far ahead should I book?
Regional flights can often be arranged within a day. International itineraries need landing and overflight permits: most African states clear them in 24 to 72 hours, and a few require three to seven business days. We confirm the realistic lead time for your route when you enquire.
What does a quotation include?
Aircraft, crew, fuel, positioning and the arrangement of permits and ground handling. For reference, international handling runs from roughly $500 to $2,500 per turnaround at major airports, and more at complex African ports; these costs are built into the figure you see. Government taxes and passenger duties are excluded and itemised separately. Every quotation is confirmed with the operator before booking.
Can I book one way?
Yes. One-way charter is quoted as standard. Where a round trip releases the aircraft between legs, we price it as two one-ways whenever that is cheaper.
How are operators selected?
Kinship arranges flights exclusively through licensed carriers. Before any proposal is issued we verify the operator's air operator certificate, its insurance and the specific airframe proposed for your flight.
Do you arrange ground transport and catering?
On request. Chauffeured transfers, specific catering and onward connections are coordinated by the same team that manages your flight.
Are there minimum charges?
Chartered aircraft carry daily minimums. Turboprops and light jets typically carry two flight hours, larger cabins 2.5 to 3. Where a minimum shapes your itinerary, it is stated plainly in the proposal.
